Accredited as a Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Business Valuator, Scott's background includes more than 15 years' experience in preparing business appraisals, fairness opinions, litigation support services, purchase price allocation analysis, quantification of damages and corporate finance. Scott has completed numerous litigation and expropriation related engagements and has been qualified to testify before the Court of Queen's Bench for Alberta and the Tax Court of Canada. He has also assisted companies in their fair value measurement and goodwill impairment analysis, and is regularly involved in an advisory capacity on mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.

Scott has presented courses on corporate finance and damage quantification for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta and British Columbia and spoken at CICBV and Federated Press Conferences. He has published several articles on business valuation and is a former contributing editor to the Canada Valuation Service.
